The call for applications for Round 5 of the Coastal Communities Fund (CCF) in England is now open. At least £40 million is available in this funding round which covers the period 2019-20 to 2020-21. To date the CCF in England has provided 131 projects with £132 million of funding. Projects report they expect this funding to support 15,000 jobs and unlock £190 million in additional investment.
As in previous bidding rounds, the aims of the Fund are to support economic development of coastal communities by awarding grants to deliver sustainable growth and jobs. Full details of eligibility and how to apply for a grant for Round 5 are now available here.
The closing date for submitting expressions of interest for the main funding round in England is the 30th of April 2018. Some funding is also available for a small number of revenue projects which are 'ready to go' and can be fast tracked. The closing date for applications wanting to be considered for 'fast track' approval is the 2nd of April 2018. Successful 'fast track' projects will be awarded in the summer and are expected to be able to start quickly.
