Tony Hogg elected as Devon & Cornwall's first Police & Crime Commissioner

Congratulations to Tony Hogg, the Conservative Candidate, on his Election as Devon and Cornwall's first Police and Crime Commissioner.

On the first count, Tony Hogg secured more than twice as many votes as the second placed candidate and comfortably more than the second and third placed candidates combined. This was a clear and decisive result. It was a marathon counting session with Devon and Cornwall, the last area in the country to declare. Turnout in South Hams was above average at a little over 17%. Tony takes up his new job virtually immediately. We wish him well and look forward to feedback, as he gets into the job.
